SECOR strives to provide temporary assistance which will allow recipients to succeed long term, without dependence on assistance from charitable or government agencies.

Valerie’s Story
Brenda and the staff at SECOR have really made a difference in my life. I am so thankful for all of the support and compassion my family has received from them. We had to file for bankruptcy and had our house taken due to a foreclosure. My life was at an all time low. Brenda and her staff never gave up on me. They always told me things would get better and they helped me to stay positive. Some days I would walk through the doors and feel just as though the weight of the world was unbearable, there they were with big bright smiles and open arms, ready to help in any way they could. I so much appreciate the donations of food & general household items. Yet even more I appreciate the strength and compassion of Brenda and her team. They have always made themselves available when I needed someone to talk to and to give me advice when I was struggling. They have helped me when I thought there was no one. The gifts for the children at Christmas time brought me to tears. To see their faces light up when they had a gift to open, it was like a dream.
